BCB Middle School Celebrates 110th Birthday of Bertha Christine Boschulte

Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Marching Band performs during a grand parade and ceremony to mark the 110th Birthday of Bertha Christine Boschulte, longtime educator and namesake of the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School.

On Tuesday, March 29, the Bertha C. Boshulte Middle School held a grand parade and ceremony to commommemorate the 110th birthday of the school's namesake, Bertha Christine Boschulte. Ms. Boschulte, born on March 30, was a revered educator and civic leader who contributed to the Virgin Islands community in countless ways. Tuesday’s celebration included performances by the BCB cheerleaders, Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Marching Band, BCB Quadrille Dancers, Flambo Combo, and the BCB school choir, as well as a balloon release. A special ceremony was held where speakers and former co-workers reminisced on the life of Ms. Boschulte, who passed away in 2004.
